I think a more pragmatic approach to human nature combined with a system of checks and balances would be the best way to govern society effectively with the concept of human nature recognized. Some suggestions are:
- Mandate and encourage a system of checks and balances within all systems and structures, including political, social, and economic systems.
- Foster a transparent and accountable culture where individuals are encouraged to report and address wrongdoing proactively.
- Ensure a level of punishment and accountability for those who misuse or abuse power so others take a sane and just approach to exploiting positions of authority and power.
- Emphasize incorruptibility in service by subsiding offers and respecting individuals who remain incorruptible and approachable in the positions they hold.
- Emphasize and commit to restorative justice and rehabilitation that people can have resolved an effective approach to any wrongdoing they commit and to not repeat their mistakes.
The primary benefit of these ideas is that it could, albeit not completely, curb corruptibility and shift culture towards a more incorruptible fashion where people approach their positions with appropriate approaches rather than being exploitative of them. This could shift a system of society to be more incorruptible and work more efficiently.
