To judge the posture of the system states a certain basis is sought for said states. The set of states' degree of freedom corresponds to the state space in which the system can be found. The number of states is the number of eigenvalues of the system that can be found via the solution of the system's characteristic equation. To solve for the eigenvalues of a system, a characteristic equation must be constructed from the system's eigenvalues. To construct the characteristic equation, the system's eigenvalues are listed from smallest to largest. The characteristic equation is then constructed from the two eigenvalues that are central to the movement of the system. Since the outputs and inputs correspond to the states, the corresponding set for each of the respective sets is then built. These sets are created by using the first and second responses that have the smallest and largest outputs. The first and second outputs are chosen because they will produce outputs that are within the control threshold of the system. The smallest output will produce an input that is closest to the baseline or in other words, produce an input that is most similar to the output of the system. The largest output will produce an input that is farthest from the baseline or in other words, produce an input that is most dissimilar to the output of the system. These outputs are employed because they will have error between the responses and completely control the system. Since the smallest and largest outputs correspond to both of the extremes of the system, the first and second impulses are calculated accordingly. The first and second inputs are then combined in such a way that they will produce the largest output that can be fetched by the system. The outputs are then combined in such a way that the first and second outputs are produced and the input is created. The calculation for the first and second input is shown below. It represents the initial force that the system is capable of producing and the relationship between the first and second output is determined.
